Tooth Fairy Box to Make With Kids

When my boys were younger it was hard to find a tooth fairy box for them that wasn’t super girly. So, they would put their teeth in a ziploc baggie for the tooth fairy. And, unfortunately, sometimes their money or teeth would get lost. So, when my nephew started losing teeth, we found a little wooden treasure box for about a dollar at the craft store and made a DIY Tooth Fairy Box.

Begin by deciding what color you want to paint your treasure box. My nephew wanted his to look like a pirate’s treasure chest, so we painted it brown. Then we added some white and black accents around the treasure chest. But you can customize the colors and theme to whatever your child likes. Try some glitter glue or stickers!

Now, while you wait for the paint to dry, cut some felt or fabric to fit on the bottom of the treasure box. We just folded the felt over a few times to make a small pillow for the tooth to sit on. Then, we glued the felt together.

Once the paint is fully dry, you can use hot glue to add some craft embellishments or even a paint pen to write your little one’s name.

That’s it! This is such a fun project to make with your little one! And, I hope inspires you to make an adorable DIY tooth fairy box for your little one’s teeth!
