Today I’m sharing how to make this Springtime Dessert Trail Mix! This is a fun and bright snack that can be easily made by kids, and the ingredients are easy to find. This isn’t so much of a recipe as it is guide, so I hope you don’t mind handfuls as suggested measurements! Remember, these are just suggestions and you can always replace an item you’re not fond of with something you enjoy.
Springtime Dessert Trail Mix
Ingredients:
- Almonds
- Peanut M&M’s
- Mix of chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate chips
- Craisins
- Fruity Marshmallows
You can use any mix of ingredients you like of course, but I found that this mix has a great balance of salty and sweet, with pops of fun colors!
Start with a handful of almonds! I like the roasted, salted, junk food kind of almonds, but you can always use raw ones for a healthier option.

Add in a handful of craisins, or regular raisins if you prefer.
Add in a handful of a variety of chocolate chips. You can also use butterscotch or peanut baking chips too!
Next, add in two handfuls of peanut M&M’s. Of course you can use your favorite kind of brightly shelled candy, but I just love these way too much. A bag of these isn’t safe in my house.
To top it off, throw in two big handfuls of fruit flavored marshmallows! These add such a fun pop of color to the trail mix, and the fruit taste is a bright flavor next to the nuts and chocolate.

Mix it all up, and you’re done! This Springtime Dessert Trail Mix keeps really well in a sealed bag, and can easily be divided into snack bags for easy lunch treats. I hope you enjoy making this fun snack with your kids!
