Spring Worm Craft for Kids

My mom is a nature lover. So, I grew up learning about the importance of all of Mother’s Earth’s creatures and critters. I was never a big fan of worms, but I do appreciate their significance in the eco-system. So, when I was a teacher I shared this knowledge with my little learners. And this cute little beaded spring worm craft was the perfect way to get my little ones to love worms!

Let’s get started on this cute little project! First, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier.

Begin by counting out the beads. We used eight small beads to make our worms. This is a fantastic way to incorporate counting skills and sequencing.

Next, lace the beads onto the pipe cleaner. Tie a small knot in the end of the pipe cleaner to secure the beads.

Then, paint the beads. While the paint dries, teach your little ones about the impact worms have on food growth, and the eco-system.

After the paint has fully dried, use the sharpie to draw a face on your little worm. Now you can bend your little worm into shape.
