Let’s get started on this cute little craft project! First, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier.
Begin by cutting out several construction paper shamrock shapes. I cut several sizes. Check out this post for a free printable template.
Next, add a thin layer of glue to the construction paper shamrocks. You can add a line of glue, dots of glue, or cover the whole thing with glue.
Then, while the glue is still wet, add glitter. Leprechauns love shiny objects, so add plenty of glitter. Alternatively you can use gold glitter glue, or even gold foil scrapbook paper if you happen to have some on hand.
After the glue has dried, shake off the excess glitter. Then, glue the shamrocks and ribbon onto the dowel rod or straw. You may need to use hot glue to secure the shamrocks and ribbon.
