These engaging puzzles challenge children to arrange seven separate puzzle pieces (called tans) into one shape. These printable Christmas tangram puzzles are fabulous indoor activities at home and in the classroom. They are the perfect boredom-busting activity for brain breaks at home, indoor recess, math and fine motor stations, and for early finishers needing entertained. Your young puzzle solvers will love shifting the pieces around to create a Christmas image. And while they’re playing they are working on logic skills, geometry, problem solving, visual-spatial and fine motor skills.
Begin by printing out the tangram blocks below. (There are two print options for you: full color puzzle pieces as well as blank outlined puzzle pieces that can be colored in.) Next, cut out the seven pieces that make up each tangram block. You may want to print your puzzle pieces on card stock and even laminate them for extra durability.
