Begin by giving your little ones several straws and a pair of scissors. Show the little ones how to cut the straws into smaller pieces. If your little ones are too little to cut them alone, you could pre-cut the straws.
Next, cut a piece of yarn long enough to place over your little one’s neck.
Then, begin to lace the pieces of straws onto the yarn. Once your little jewelry artist is happy with their necklace, tie a knot in the yarn.
This would be a fun 4th of July party activity too.
This is such a fun way to develop fine motor skill while enjoying the Fourth of July holiday.
