I love crafting with inexpensive paper plates! You can make just about anything with them, and they are super affordable, even on the tightest budget. When my boys were younger they loved making wreaths for their bedroom doors. They wanted their doors to be like our home’s front door. And, the best way for the boys to make wreaths was with a paper plate and construction paper. One of my favorites from their childhood was the paper plate turkey kids craft wreath they made.

Paper Plate Turkey Kids Craft
Thanksgiving Turkey Wreath Craft Supplies:
- Paper plate.
- School glue.
- Brown, red, and yellow construction paper.
- Scissors.
- Black crayon or marker.
- Craft feathers – or you could cut out feathers with colored construction paper.
This was one of those busy work crafts I had my bigger boys work on while their younger brothers were napping. It was quiet, and they enjoyed it. Plus, since they were old enough to cut out the pieces themselves, it took them a little while to make their turkey wreaths.
First, gather all of your craft supplies. If your crafters are younger, it may be easier to pre-cut most of the pieces.
Start by cutting out the center of the paper plate. Then, use the center of the plate to cut out two eyes.

Next, use the brown construction paper to cut out two wings.
After you cut out the wings, use the yellow paper to cut out a beak. Then, cut out a turkey gobble from red paper.
Now, you can start putting your turkey wreath together!
First glue feathers on the top of the plate.
Second, color black dots on the white circle eyes.

Then, glue the wings to the side of the plate.
Finally, add a little but of glue to the bottom of the plate and secure the eyes, beak, and gobble to the plate!
That’s it! I hope this fun paper plate turkey wreath project has inspired you to create your own Thanksgiving decorations!
