Thanksgiving crafts were always a challenge for me when I was a teacher. I was ready to jump right into Christmas crafting right after Halloween. Especially since we were already working on holiday programs and performances. But, the week before Thanksgiving break, we would have a more relaxed schedule and make fun fall crafts. And, the paper plate pie Thanksgiving banner was always a favorite!

Let’s get started on this cute DIY paper plate pie banner! First, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier.
First, paint the center of the paper plate. We used orange and brown paint to make pumpkin pies. One or two paper plates should be enough for each banner.
Then, use the hole punch to punch two holes at the top of the paper plate. (Where the crust would be on a real piece of pie.) However, you can glue it to the ribbon too.
Now, cut the slices of paper plate pie. We cut four slices of pie from each plate.
Then, crumple a small piece of white tissue paper and glue it to the middle of each slice of pie.

Finally, lace the ribbon through the holes on each slice of pie. Or you can glue the ribbon to the plates.
That’s it! This is such a fun project to make. And, I hope it has inspired you to create an adorable DIY paper plate pie Thanksgiving banner with your little ones!
