Paper Plate Elf Mask Kids Craft Project

As a teacher and a mother, holiday crafting was one of my favorite activities with the little ones. It was a great way to spend quality time with one or two kiddos. And, they all loved making their own paper plate elf mask project each year! You can use these for super-fun family photo props to make homemade cards, ornaments or other photo gifts.

Elf Mask Project:

  • Paper plate.
  • Glue.
  • Scissors.
  • Construction paper.

These darling little paper plate elf masks are the perfect activity for little ones of all ages. You will need to pre-cut the paper plates and construction paper for toddlers, but elementary school age children should be able to do the entire project on their own with very little help.

Let’s get started on this cute little craft project! First, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier.

Begin by cutting the center out of a paper plate. You will need one plate for each mask.

Next, cut out a construction paper hat and pointy elf ears. You can even cut strips of coordinating paper to make your elf’s hat striped.

Now, glue the hat onto the top of the paper plate. Then, glue the pointy elf ears on each side of the paper plate. You can color the elf’s hat or glue on strips of paper to make it more festive. We added a small green yarn pom-pom to the elf’s hat too!
