It’s Spring and all the birds are singing! We have a few nests in our yard right now, and I love seeing the mommy and daddy birds teach the babies how to fly. My boys were always infatuated with the bird nests we had in our yard. And, while I wanted to encourage their enthusiasm and curiosity, I needed to keep the birds safe. So, we would check out the birds’ nests at a safe distance, and then come inside and make cute crafts, like this darling rocking paper plate bird craft for kids!

Let’s get started on this cute little Spring project! First, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier.
Begin by folding the paper plate in half.
Next, color the paper plate, if you want to.
Then, cut two circles out of construction paper. Next, cut two small triangles from construction paper. The circles will be the bird’s head, and the triangles will be the bird’s beak. You could also cut out bird wings, or you could use feathers to make the wings.
Finally, glue the circles to one end of the folded paper plate bird body. Then glue the triangle beaks onto the circles and color or glue on eyes. Next, add the bird’s wings.
