Hanukkah Writing Prompts for Kids

Whether or not you or your children/students celebrate Hanukkah, we think it’s important for all kids to learn about this important Jewish festival of lights. This 8 day celebration is a wonderful tradition celebrated by lighting candles, saying special prayers, and eating foods fried in oil. It commemorates a story from the second century BC in which a group of faithful Jews reclaimed a temple in Jerusalem, and miraculously were able to light the oil in a menorah for 8 days with only 1 days supply of oil.
