These worksheets are good for students in 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade and teach skills such as number recognition, adding numbers in word form, and multiplying decimals. Printable Halloween Easy Sudoku Worksheets for Kids

I have to watch myself while playing sudoku – it can be very addicting! My kids like it too – as long as they have enough hints so as to not get too frustrated. These sudoku printables for Halloween are definitely on the easy side, great for 3rd through 6th grade students, or adult sudoku junkies like me! The answer keys are below so that I don’t make you figure out these number puzzles just to grade papers.

Here’s a simple overview of how sodoku works, in case you aren’t familiar with them. They are great at teaching logic as well as pre-algebra skills. Each and every row and column contains the numbers 1-9, without repetition of any numerals. With the hints provided in the worksheets, children can start to deduce which numbers go into each spot by looking at the other numbers in the corresponding rows and columns. If there are two spots open in a row, and the row still needs a number 7 and number 8 to complete the sequence, they look to other intersecting columns to determine which number goes in each spot. In the first worksheet, the very middle row is missing a 7 & 8, and the first column already has a number 8 in a different row. So the child can reason that number 7 goes in the first space, leaving number 8 as the only option for the last space. As the puzzle fills up with numbers they know are accurate, it gives the students even more hints as to how to solve the rest of the blank spaces.
