We are getting ready for Easter by making all of the Easter crafts and Spring art projects! When I was in elementary school, I loved to create folded paint art projects. My little niece is the same way. We are both always so excited to see the final project after we unfold our masterpiece. This Folded Paint Easter Egg Art Project was so much fun to make. And, I love that it is a different way to paint an Easter egg on paper.

Folded Paper Easter Egg Art Project
Supplies:
- 2 pieces of construction paper.
- Glue.
- Scissors.
- Paint.
We made our Folded Paint Easter Egg Art Project with pink and purple construction paper for a Spring feeling, but choose whatever colors you like best!

Choose the color you want to be on top, and fold it in half lengthwise. Then, cut out an egg shape from that piece of paper. I wanted our egg to be large, but you could also cut several smaller egg shapes out of the top piece of paper. Again, that is totally your choice. I like to fold my paper in half to create a more uniform image.
Next, add drops of paint to the second sheet of construction paper. Once you have added all of the paint to the paper, fold it in half and gently squish the paint around on the paper. Then, carefully unfold the paper and allow the paint to dry.
After the paint has fully dried, add glue around the edges of the top piece of paper with the egg shape cut out. Now, glue the paper onto the painted paper.
