My mom and sister have been teaching their classes via zoom, like many teachers are right now. And, they want to share projects that are easy for their little students to do at home with minimal help from parents if necessary. Since we are inching into Summer time, their weekly lesson plans are more summer themed. So, I thought it would be fun for them to share a simple finger paint pineapple art project with their classrooms. And, the great thing about this project is, an entire family could make it on a framed wooden board with acrylic paint and have a beautiful summer decor piece.
Finger Paint Pineapple Art Project
Check out my finger painted flower art project, too!
Supplies:
- 1 piece of white card stock paper – alternatively, you could use a wooden sign board.
- Yellow and Green Paint.
- Brown Crayon, Paint, or Marker.
- Optional – Paint brush for the green paint
This project is so simple, but, I absolutely love it! And, I am planning on making a family version on a wooden sign for our home.

Start by squirting a little bit of yellow and green paint onto a palette or paper plate.
Next, dip your finger tip into the yellow paint and add a dab of paint to the card stock. Repeat this step in a loose oval shape on the paper, until the yellow paint resembles a pineapple.
Now, use green paint to add the crown or leaves of the pineapple.
Once the paint has dried, use a brown crayon, marker, or brown paint to add the brown spots on the pineapple.
That’s it! When we make our wooden sign for our front door, I will letter our name and the word WELCOME across the top and bottom of the sign. I really just love this project so much, and I cannot wait to make a more permanent version for our home. I hope you’re inspired to make a beautiful finger paint pineapple art project too!
