Supplies:

  • Cardboard egg carton
  • Fallen branch
  • Paint in colors of your choice
  • Pony beads that coordinate to paint colors
  • Pain brush
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors

All egg cartons are a little bit different, but this method should work for all the different shapes. Start by cutting off the lid and recycling it or saving it for a future project. Next you’re going to cut apart each little cup that the eggs sit in. When you have them all cut apart, you’ll notice that some are taller and some are shorter, or may be different shapes. The good news is that all flowers are different too! Just take your scissors and round off the tops, and cut an extra petal space if needed. The ones that are on the sides of the carton usually need the most extra work.

Take your time and you’ll end up with a whole bunch of little flowers! Now go ahead and paint the all, inside and out, with the colors you like and let them dry completely. Next you’re going to take your pony beads and place some hot glue on one side of the bead.

Then press it into the center of your flower! You can add more beads if you like, or leave it at one for a simpler effect. Now all you have to do is place some hot glue on the back of your flowers, and start glueing them to your branch! Make sure you use dead branches that have fallen naturally from a tree. If you don’t have trees around your home, you can always visit a local park!

Keeping adding your flowers individually and in small clusters until you’re happy with how your branch looks.

See how bright and colorful it looks? You can also stick with more muted shades or go with all one color depending on the look you’re going for!
