Columbus Day 2010 is October 11th – our Christopher Columbus worksheets were hugely popular last year. This year we’re adding a new set of printable kids poems to celebrate (one of) the discoverer(s) of America!

    I don’t know why we continue to teach children that Columbus was a great man. When the reality is he tortured and killed thousands of Native Americans. Who by the way had discovered America first. But we like to forget all about that and call Columbus a hero.My children know have been taught the truth about Columbus. If people were to do bit of research, you would realize that Columbus was not a hero.
