Christmas Tree Kids Craft with Yarn and Cardboard

As a teacher and a mother, holiday crafting was one of my favorite activities with the little ones. It was a great way to spend quality time with one or two kiddos. My boys love Christmas trees, even now as young adults and older teens. When they were younger, we would create cardboard and yarn Christmas tree kids craft projects all season long. Then they used them to decorate their rooms and our home.

Let’s get started on this cute little craft project! Firstly, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier.

Begin by cutting the cardboard into triangles. You can add a small rectangle on the bottom as the tree trunk too.

Then, cut a long piece of yarn. However, if it is too short, you can add more as you need to. And, if it is too long, you can cut off the excess when you are done.

Now, glue one end of the piece of yarn to the top of the cardboard and wrap it around the triangle until the triangle is covered in yarn. Finally, after the whole triangle shape is covered in yarn, secure the end of the yarn with more glue.
