Do you remember the anticipation of your birthday as a child? I’m reminded every year as both of my daughters begin their birthday countdowns weeks before the celebration. And as a parent, I play it up BIG time, because I still get excited about my birthday and want to extend the celebration as long as possible. 😉 Thankfully, we have created so many wonderful printable birthday activities to sprinkle throughout the month. And we’re excited to add this brand new set of birthday mirror drawing worksheets to our collection!
Another fun way to complete the picture is to fold the page in half, tape it to a window with the pre-drawn side away from you and trace the image on to the blank side of the page. We recommend using a pencil so lines you aren’t so happy with can easily be erased. Beginning artists can sometimes experience frustration when their first drawings don’t turn out perfectly. There is another great lesson in this: that we work toward progress rather than perfection. 😉 Ralph Waldo Emerson said it perfectly: “Every artist was first an amateur.”
